On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in 2002, we held a kirtan at Kailash Ashram. Around midnight, a beautiful milk snake suddenly appeared in the middle of our circle. The snake crawled around to everyone individually and then slithered off, never to be seen again. Truly an amazing experience which we have chosen to honor on an annual basis.
